Exciting Leeds Based Project-

ADDRESSING THE GENDER IMBALANCE WITHIN

THE MUSIC INDUSTRY

Festival Republic (organisers of Reading and Leeds Festival),

Supported by PRS Foundation and in association with Leeds based

 Old Chapel Music Studio have announced a new three year project called ReBalance.

The Project based in Leeds will provide support for female led bands and

solo artists.Successful candidates will receive one week’s studio time, travel, accommodation, mentor access and a performance slot at a ‘Live Nation’ or ‘Festival Republic’ festival.

The project also includes an apprenticeship scheme, with an emphasis on women candidates launched for studio engineers.

Supporting women who want to work in sound engineering and production by offering studio apprenticeships.
